Position Overview: Merchandiser
The Merchandiser position is a part-time role where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our products are well-stocked, organized, and appealing to customers in local grocery stores.
If you’ve ever admired a well-maintained bread aisle or perfectly arranged bakery display, you’ve seen the handiwork of a skilled merchandiser. In this position, you’ll be responsible for ensuring product availability and presentation while maintaining a clean and organized inventory.

Key Responsibilities
As a Merchandiser at Bimbo Bakeries USA, your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Stocking Bread Aisles and Displays:
- Ensure shelves are consistently stocked with fresh bakery products.
- Keep display locations neat, organized, and visually appealing to customers.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain a clean and organized backroom inventory.
- Rotate products according to color codes to ensure freshness and prevent waste.
- Customer and Team Interaction:
- Collaborate with store personnel to optimize display placement and inventory management.
- Provide feedback to your supervisor on stock levels and potential issues.
- General Support:
- Assist with additional merchandising tasks as needed.

Position Requirements
Age and Licensing:
- You must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Transportation and Mobility:
- You must have reliable transportation to travel between stores and manage your responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds is essential for handling products and managing inventory.
- You should be comfortable with physical activity throughout your shift, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
DOT-Regulated Route Requirements (Where Applicable):
In some locations, merchandisers are required to drive a DOT-regulated route truck. If this applies to you:
- You must meet DOT requirements, which include obtaining a Medical Card and completing a Road Test.
- Candidates must be 21 years or older to qualify for these roles.
Work Environment and Schedule
This position offers the advantage of part-time, flexible scheduling, allowing you to balance work with other aspects of your life. Starting shifts at 8:00 AM ensures you’ll have free afternoons, making it an ideal opportunity for students, parents, or individuals seeking supplemental income.
