Commonwealth Youth Award 2025 | Win grans, Trophies, Certificates

The Commonwealth Youth Awards for Excellence in Development Work are organized by the Commonwealth Youth Programmed to honor young people from the Commonwealth who are leading impactful, long-term development projects in their communities. This year, the Khalili Foundation and the Commonwealth Foundation have joined forces to offer additional funds and prizes for the 2025 Awards.

The main goal of these awards is to recognize the outstanding efforts of young people in creating a just, peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable future. This includes progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda. The Commonwealth aims to support young leaders who are making positive changes in their communities and to create an environment that encourages investment in youth-led development projects.

By showcasing the success stories of nominees, the awards aim to inspire others and highlight the talent, dedication, and innovation of young people across the Commonwealth. The awards will give special recognition to exceptional young people, with the Commonwealth Foundation offering Capacity Strengthening Grants to selected regional finalists, based on successful reporting and evaluation.

The Commonwealth Youth Awards celebrate young people working on projects that range from promoting peace to reducing poverty. These awards remind decision-makers in government and other influential areas of the importance of youth development. They also encourage other young people to get involved in their communities. Development work in this competition can take many forms, including science, human rights, education, arts and culture, environmental protection, technology, sports, and more.
