Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad Announces Admissions for Fall 2024

Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, one of Pakistan’s leading institutions, has opened admissions for the Fall 2024 semester. Applications are invited from both Pakistani and foreign nationals for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs across multiple faculties. The university continues to maintain its position as a top-ranking institution globally, placing 315th in the QS World University Rankings 2025 and 121st among Asian universities according to the Times Higher Education (THE) Asian University Ranking 2024.

Admission Programs

• Ph.D. Programs (Regular Basis)

Students can pursue doctoral studies in the following disciplines:

• Faculty of Biological Sciences: Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Botany, Environmental Sciences, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Zoology
• Faculty of Natural Sciences: Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics

Pharm-D Program

Students interested in the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) program should fill out a separate application form available on the QAU website.

How to Apply

Applicants must apply online through the QAU Online Application System. The application must be accompanied by a challan from Habib Bank Ltd. or Askari Bank Ltd. with a fee deposit of Rs. 2,215/- or Rs. 2,200/- respectively, in favor of the Treasurer, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. The bank challan, along with the Admission Data Summary Sheet and other scanned required documents, should be uploaded to complete the application process.

Scholarships and Financial Assistance

QAU offers scholarships and financial assistance to deserving Pakistani national students enrolled in undergraduate BS programs on a regular basis. Special consideration is given to single orphans, double orphans, and students from remote or underprivileged areas. However, students admitted on a self-finance basis are not eligible for financial aid.
