Position Overview

The Housekeeping Clerk will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms and public areas at the Royal Lahaina Resort. The role adheres to comprehensive cleaning protocols aligned with Brand and CDC guidelines to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Clerk, you will:

• Room and Area Cleaning:
  • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of guest rooms daily.
  • Remove trash and dirty linens from guest rooms, public spaces, and hallways.
• Public Area Maintenance:
  • Keep hallways, public areas, and housekeeping closets clean, neat, and vacuumed.
• Stocking and Supplies Management:
  • Restock carts with cleaning supplies such as bleach, mops, wipes, and brooms.
  • Replenish chemical bottles and ensure adequate inventory of sanitization supplies.
• Reporting and Maintenance:
  • Report any maintenance repairs to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager immediately.
• Sanitization Standards:
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitization according to CDC and brand-specific standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a hotel or related field is an advantage.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
  • Capability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Communication Skills:
  • Must effectively communicate verbally and in writing with employees and guests in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
