Position Overview
Job Title: Assistant Factory Manager
Location: Schaumburg, IL
Job Type: Full-Time

The Assistant Factory Manager will collaborate with the Factory Manager to oversee daily operations, align with company goals, and represent the factory within the company and community. This role offers opportunities to build leadership skills, tackle operational challenges, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Note: Future relocation to one of Nestlé’s 23 factory locations will be required for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead factory teams to meet safety, quality, cost, and service level commitments.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company principles, policies, health and food safety regulations, and local laws.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze production data to optimize operations and address challenges.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop factory management staff, focusing on performance, career growth, and succession planning.
- Employee Relations: Foster positive labor relations with a “People First” approach.
- Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with the local community, supported by Corporate Community Affairs.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) principles for operational efficiency.
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of experience managing factory budgets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with Total Performance Management (TPM) or Lean Management Principles.
Additional Requirements:
- Openness to relocation across any of Nestlé’s 23 factory locations.
